Can SNHU credits transfer to other colleges?

I'm taking courses at SNHU and might want to transfer to a different college later. Does anyone know how easily SNHU credits transfer to other institutions? Any advice would be appreciated!

The transferability of credits from Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) to other institutions depends on various factors, including the specific program and courses you are taking and the policies of the institution you are interested in transferring to.

Most colleges and universities, especially regionally accredited like SNHU, typically accept credits from similar programs at similarly accredited institutions. However, they generally evaluate transfer credits on a case-by-case basis. Courses that align with the curriculum at the college you are transferring to, and in which you've earned a C grade (2.0 on a 4.0 scale) or higher, often have the best chance of being accepted for transfer credit.

The receiving college may also look at whether a course was taught online or in person when determining whether to accept the credit. Some institutions might have policies that limit the amount of online coursework they accept.

I recommend that you contact the admissions office or registrar of the college you're considering transferring to. They can provide you with the most accurate information regarding their specific transfer policy and how your SNHU credits may transfer.

Additionally, it could be beneficial for you to keep your course syllabi, as they could assist the receiving institution in determining whether your previous coursework aligns with the requirements at their school.

Keep in mind that the sooner you initiate the conversation about potential transfer credits, the better positioned you'll be to make informed decisions about your academic future.
