Transfer to Bauer College of Business

I'm interested in transferring to the Bauer College of Business. What are the key transfer requirements I should be aware of? Is there a specific GPA that gives me a better chance of being accepted?

When transferring to Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston, you should be aware of a couple key requirements. First and foremost, you will need at least 15 credit hours with a minimum 2.5 GPA from an accredited college or university. Also, you need to have completed the Gateway Course - GENB 3302 - with a minimum grade of B-.

However, these are just the minimum requirements. If you're looking to have a competitive application, a higher GPA can certainly help. While there isn't an exact GPA for guaranteed admission, transfer students who are accepted generally have GPAs well above the minimum requirement, often times closer to a 3.0 or higher. In addition, the completion of core business courses with strong grades will look favorable in your application review.

Also, make sure you submit all necessary documents and materials, including an application, all official transcripts, and any other requested documents like essay supplement.

While these are some general guidelines, each application is considered individually. So in addition to meeting these academic standards, also be sure to express your genuine interest in business, your personal goals, and why Bauer is an ideal place for your education in your application.
