Scholarships for transfer students at Beloit College?

Does Beloit College offer scholarships specifically for transfer students? I'm planning to transfer next year and am curious about any financial support opportunities available for students like me. Any info on requirements or application processes would be great!

Yes, Beloit College does offer scholarships specifically for transfer students. All transfer applicants are considered for the Trustee Transfer Scholarship, which recognizes collegiate academic success and potential to positively impact the Beloit classroom and community.

There are no additional steps to be considered for the Trustee Transfer Scholarship. Awards are given primarily based on college GPA.

In terms of details on the amount, the Trustee Transfer Scholarship ranges from $30,000 to $40,000 depending on your GPA at your current school.

Eligible transfers may also receive the Phi Theta Kappa Award, which recognizes transfer students who demonstrate their membership in Phi Theta Kappa, the world’s largest and most prestigious academic honors society for two-year college students. To be eligible for the up to $3,000 per year award, students must apply as transfer applicants by the transfer application deadline and provide proof of Phi Theta Kappa membership. First-year students with dual enrollment credits are not eligible.

Of course, apart from scholarships, you could also consider applying for financial aid which requires filling out the FAFSA. My best advice is to get in touch with Beloit's office of Financial Aid: https://www.beloit.edu/offices/financial-aid/contact-us/. They can provide more detailed information and guide you through the process.

Remember, while funding options like scholarships and financial aid can be of great help, they should not be the only factors influencing your transfer decision. Consider other aspects such as the curriculum, campus culture, employment opportunities et cetera. Good luck with your transfer process!
