Community colleges in CA application deadlines?

I'm considering applying to some community colleges in California, but am unsure about the application deadlines. Can anyone share the general timeline for these schools? It'd help a lot in planning my next steps!

Unlike four-year universities, many community colleges in California have rolling admissions, meaning they accept applications and enroll students throughout the year. These types of colleges typically have a priority deadline, after which students can still apply, but chances of getting into specific classes decrease as they may fill up.

Typically, for the fall semester or quarter, the priority deadline is around the end of spring - often around May or June. For a spring start, it might be around end of October or beginning of November. Summer terms may have a priority deadline in April.

Remember, these are just examples and deadlines can vary widely between colleges, so you should check the specific details from the college's admissions or registrar's office directly, or on their website. It is also important to consider the dates for registering for classes. After your application is accepted, there will be a time period where you select and register for classes. This is dictated by the enrollment date you'll be given, and it's important not to miss it! Remember that applying early increases the chances that you will be able to enroll in your preferred courses because they can fill up quickly.

Last but not least, keep in mind that financial aid deadlines may be separate and earlier than application deadlines. If you're planning to apply for federal financial aid through the FAFSA, the California deadline is March 2nd each year.

Planning ahead is a great strategy. Good luck with your applications!
