Best community colleges for transferring to SDSU?

Would love recommendations for community colleges that offer robust transfer programs to SDSU. I'm looking for a school that provides strong academic preparation and solid support for transfer students.

San Diego Mesa College and Southwestern College are two excellent community colleges that have a high success rate in transferring students to San Diego State University (SDSU).

San Diego Mesa College is part of the San Diego Community College District that provides an exceptional academic curriculum and has a dedicated transfer center to support their students. Their transfer center offers workshops, counseling, and access to university representatives. This approach allows students to remain informed and well-prepared during the transfer process. Additionally, they also collaborate with SDSU on the ADT program (Associate Degree for Transfer) which guarantees admission into SDSU for students who've met particular criteria.

Similarly, Southwestern College also has a well-established transfer program. The college provides personalized plans and counseling to help students navigate the transfer process. It also coordinates with SDSU to provide the Associate Degree for Transfer program.

Miramar College and City College San Diego are two other community colleges to consider for ample support in transfer initiatives. Each of them also participates in the ADT program with SDSU.

Lastly, check out Palomar College as well. Their Transfer Center does a stellar job with counseling, workshops, and a Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) program for several California Universities; though, TAG does not apply to SDSU, the center still provides support for SDSU transfers.

Remember, a successful transfer often comes down to your dedication and hard work at the community college level to meet transfer requirements. So make sure to keep up with counsellors and use all resources available.
