Winter Transfer to Boston College: Is It Possible?

I'm thinking of transferring to Boston College in the winter. Does anyone have experience with this or know if the college even allows transfers mid-year? Is it harder than fall transfers?

Boston College does not offer winter transfer admission. The college only offers fall and spring transfers, and the deadlines to apply are approximately around March 15 and November 1 each year, respectively.

Although Boston College doesn't share specific transfer acceptance rates, it is known to be a selective school. Making your application more compelling by demonstrating a strong academic performance at your current school and explaining why you are a good fit for Boston College will be essential.

Remember, understanding the specific transfer requirements and the school's philosophy or culture can also make your application stand out. Boston College is a Jesuit institution and values service to others, so if these concepts align with your personal values, it would be beneficial to bring it up in your application.

In terms of application materials, you'll need your high school transcript, college transcript, one academic evaluation from a professor, the Common Application Transfer College Report, a personal statement, and mid-term grades.

Please also be attentive to any specialized requirements for transfer into a specific school within Boston College, such as the Carroll School of Management, as requirements may vary for different colleges within the university. Good luck!
