Best Brookdale transfer colleges for engineering majors?

I'm majoring in engineering at Brookdale and planning to transfer after completing my associate's degree. Does anyone have suggestions for colleges with strong engineering programs that accept lots of Brookdale transfer students?

In considering a transfer, you're taking the first steps towards your long-term goal - very commendable! Engineering has a wide field of specialties, but I'll try to provide general recommendations for schools known for their quality engineering programs and receptiveness to transfer students.

Firstly, Rutgers University in New Jersey has a solid engineering program and is known to have a good relationship with Brookdale for transfers. You might also consider NJIT (New Jersey Institute of Technology). Both of these are notable for their in-state transfer agreements, designed to optimize the ease with which students from community colleges can transition into their programs.

Further afield, you might consider the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and Purdue University in Indiana, both of which have strong engineering departments. While I can’t tell you the exact statistics on Brookdale transfers at these institutions, they do claim to value community college transfers, which might make them suitable options.

It's worth noting that transfer acceptance will also greatly depend on your individual academic performance and extracurricular involvement in addition to the overall reputation of Brookdale. It's crucial to maintain a high GPA and seek out relevant experiences such as internships, research opportunities, or related extracurriculars.

As with any college choice, it's highly encouraged to visit the campuses (if possible), research the specific engineering specialties at each institution, and reach out to their admissions offices with any questions. Making an informed choice will undoubtedly assist in easing the transition process. Best of luck in your academic journey!
