Wytheville Community College RN program application

I want to apply to the RN program at Wytheville Community College. Does anyone know when the application period opens and what prerequisites I should have completed before applying?

For the RN program at Wytheville Community College, the application opens yearly around October 1 and closes around March 17. So if you're applying for the upcoming academic year, you should be within this timeframe of application.

As for prerequisites, it's generally recommended that prior to applying, you have completed all of the following courses with a C grade or better: Anatomy and Physiology I and II, English Composition I, College Math for Technologies, Intro to Psychology and Sociology, and Developmental Psychology.

These courses seem to be part of the required program-specific curriculum for most nursing programs and are likely part of the prerequisite courses to be considered for the RN program at Wytheville Community College.

Also, you'll likely need to take a standardized nursing school admission test, such as the HESI Admissions Assessment (HESI A2), and score competitive grades. The test usually covers subjects such as math, science, and language skills.

In addition, you'll typically need at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA in all previous college coursework to be considered for most nursing programs.

Finally, after acceptance into the program, most nursing programs will require a criminal background check and a drug test.

Please note that this information can change and it would be best to reach out to the admissions office at Wytheville Community College or check their website directly for the most accurate and up-to-date information.
