Santa Monica College Application Process

Applying to Santa Monica College (SMC), is a pretty straightforward process. SMC has a rolling admissions policy, which means you can apply at any time for the upcoming semester. However, they recommend submitting your application at least 2 months before the beginning of the semester to ensure adequate time for processing and course registration.

Here are the basic steps of the application process:

1. Online Application: You need to create an account at the California Community College portal, which is called OpenCCC if you don't have one. Once you have an account, you can start the application process at CCCApply. You'll be required to provide basic information about yourself, your educational goals, and your academic history.

2. Orientation: After your application is accepted, you'll need to participate in an online orientation; this is mandatory for all new students. The orientation will provide lots of helpful information about the college, its resources, and tips for your success.
