Hoya Summer Programs?

Hey guys, I've been looking into summer programs and found stuff about Hoya summer programs at Georgetown. Has anyone here attended it or have any thoughts on the program? Would it be worth it for a rising senior?

Hello! Hoya Summer Programs at Georgetown can be a great way to spend your summer break and further explore your interests. There are a variety of programs available, covering subjects such as business, international relations, law, and more. These programs can give you valuable knowledge and experience, as well as expose you to college life at Georgetown.

Attending a summer program can be especially beneficial for rising seniors who have a clear interest in the subject matter or in attending Georgetown itself. Participating in a program may give you some insights on the university's campus, faculty, and academic environment. Additionally, attending a pre-college program may give you a competitive edge during the college admissions process, as some admissions officers may see this as evidence of your genuine interest in a particular field or the university.

However, it's important to know that attendance in a summer program does not guarantee successful admission into Georgetown, and other factors such as your academic performance, extracurricular activities, and essays hold more weight. You may also want to consider scholarships or financial aid, as these programs can be expensive.

If you believe the program would offer you personal or academic growth, it could be worth considering. I recommend researching the specific program(s) you're interested in and reaching out to past participants for their input on the experience. This will give you a better understanding of whether the Hoya Summer Program is the right fit for you. Good luck!
