Taking classes at two community colleges to transfer?

Can I take courses at two different community colleges and still transfer all of my credits successfully? I'm trying to complete prerequisites that aren't available at just one school.

Yes, you can indeed take courses at two different community colleges with the intent to transfer them. This could be a strategic way to complete all the required courses you need for your intended major, especially if a single community college doesn't offer all the courses you want or need.

However, I want to emphasize that it's very important to make sure that the courses you take at both institutions are transferable to your intended 4-year university. You can do this by reaching out to the potential receiving universities you're interested in to confirm transferability and/or by connecting with academic advisors at your current institutions who should be familiar with transfer requirements.

Remember that each university has its own transfer policies. While most schools are generally accepting of community college credits, some selective universities may not accept all credits, especially if the coursework is not considered equivalent to their offerings.

Lastly, keep track of your transcripts from both community colleges. When the time comes to transfer, you'll need to send transcripts from both colleges to the university you're transferring to, so they can evaluate your total completed coursework.
