How do I cancel my SAT registration?

I registered for the SAT, but I realized I won't be able to make it to that test date. How do I cancel my registration? And will I get any refund? Thanks for your help!

To cancel your SAT registration, you'll need to follow these steps:

1. Visit the College Board website and log into your account.

2. Find your SAT registration and click on it.

3. Look for the "Cancel Registration" option, which should be available on the registration details page.

4. Click "Cancel Registration," and then follow any additional prompts or instructions to confirm the cancellation.

Please note that your cancellation request must be submitted by 11:59 PM Eastern Time on the Tuesday before your scheduled test date in order to be eligible for a refund. If you successfully meet this deadline, you can expect to receive a partial refund of $10, as there is a non-refundable fee of $52. Keep in mind that refunds usually take four to six weeks to process, and they will be issued in the same method you used for payment.

If you miss the cancellation deadline, you won't be eligible for a refund. Additionally, if you don't show up on test day, your registration fee will not be refunded. If you decide to reschedule your test, you'll have to pay the entire registration fee again for the new date, so it's probably wiser to reschedule your SAT to another test date rather than cancel it all together.
