What's the process for transferring to Centre College?

I'm considering transferring to Centre College, and I'm not sure where to start. Does anyone know what the transfer application process is like? Specifically, any advice on deadlines or important documents? Appreciate any tips or personal experiences!

Transfer applications for Centre College must be submitted through the Common Application. Here's a brief outline of the steps and required pieces for the transfer application process:

1. Common Application and College Report: You will need to fill up the Common Application for transfer students, and make sure to include the College Report from your current institution.

2. Transcripts: Submit your official transcript from your current college/university. If you've attended more than one college or university, Centre College will need the official transcripts from each institution. In addition, you also need to submit your final, official high school transcript.

3. Academic Evaluation: It's recommended to get an academic evaluation from a college instructor who can speak to your abilities.

4. Mid-Term Report: This serves to provide an update on your current coursework. You should submit this if you're applying while enrolled in courses.

5. Recommendation Letters: One to two recommendation letters from college professors or others who know you well in an academic setting can reinforce your application.

6. TOEFL, IELTS, or Duolingo English Test Scores: If English is not your first language and you have been studying in the U.S. for less than 8 years, you will need to submit one of these English proficiency test results.

As for deadlines, there are two main dates. For Fall semester transfers, the application deadline is March 1. For Spring semester transfers, the deadline is November 1. Remember, it's always better to start your application process well in advance to ensure you have ample time to gather all necessary documents and complete the application.

Good luck with your transfer application!
