Transfer requirements for nursing at College of Saint Elizabeth?

I'm interested in transferring to the nursing program at College of Saint Elizabeth. Does anyone know what the specific transfer requirements are? Are there prerequisites that I need to take care of beforehand?

The College of Saint Elizabeth (CSE) manages their nursing program a little differently compared to many other programs. Here's the breakdown of the transfer process based on what I know about the program:

First off, to be eligible for their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program, CSE typically requires that you have a completed Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or you're in the last semester of your ADN program. So if you're looking to transfer from another BSN program or from a non-nursing major, they may not accept that. However, it would be a good idea to reach out to the admissions office directly to confirm this, as there may be exceptions or changes to this policy that aren't currently listed on their website.

There are also comparability requirements for some of the courses taken as part of your ADN program. The courses should cover similar content and meet the same outcomes as the equivalent courses at CSE. Course syllabi may be requested as part of the transfer process to assess this.

You'll also need to have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 at the time of application, although some flexibility may be allowed depending on individual circumstances.

As for prerequisites, there are required sciences courses (like Anatomy I and II, and Microbiology with labs) you must have completed with a grade of C+ or better before transferring.

Beyond that, the only other general requirement is that you must have a current, unencumbered RN license or take the NCLEX-RN within the first semester of the BSN program.

Again, this is just a rough guide based on my understanding, so your best bet would be to reach out to the CSE admissions office directly to confirm these requirements and see how they would apply to your specific situation. They can also give you a more realistic idea of how many of your credits would be able to transfer.
