Which Colleges Accept Transfer Students in August?

I'm thinking about transferring and curious about which colleges accept transfer students as late as August. Does anyone have a list or know some schools that have such late acceptance dates for transfers?

Most universities set their transfer application deadlines in the spring, like March or April, to allow enough time for reviewing applications and enrolling admitted students. However, some universities have rolling admissions policies or later deadlines for transfer students.

For instance, Arizona State University (ASU) has rolling admissions and a transfer deadline in late July for the fall semester. Similarly, the University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) has rolling admissions, so you can apply at any time. Western Governors University (WGU) has monthly start dates, allowing for lots of flexibility. Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) and Purdue University Global also have rolling admissions, providing the possibility for later application.

That being said, keep in mind that the later you apply, the less likely it is that spots will still be available, especially at more selective schools. Therefore, it's preferable to apply as early as possible.

Always double-check deadlines on the colleges' official websites, as they can sometimes change from one year to the next. Also, consider reaching out directly to the university's admissions office to confirm deadlines and discuss your situation. They might have additional guidance and can offer resources to help with your decision.
