CU Boulder and Front Range Transfer Agreement?

I go to Front Range Community College and want to transfer to CU Boulder. Is there a formal transfer agreement in place, and how does it affect the process? Any advice on how to make sure my transition is smooth?

CU Boulder has an established transfer program with Front Range Community College known as the Degree Within Reach program. This transfer initiative allows students who have earned at least 30 credits at CU Boulder and then transfer to Front Range Community College to use these existing credits along with their Community College credits to earn an Associate's degree while they work towards their Bachelor's degree.

However, this program does not guarantee admission into CU Boulder. For a smooth transition, you should focus on keeping a strong GPA, as CU Boulder's transfer admission process is quite competitive.

CU Boulder’s transfer admission team looks favorably upon applicants who have completed a strong curriculum in areas relevant to their intended major. So, take courses that align with the prerequisites for your intended major at Boulder.

Another tip is to consult with a transfer counselor at Front Range Community College who can help guide you through the transfer process. They can assist you in determining which of your current course credits will be viable for transfer, guide you to resources like application workshops, and answer any other questions you might have about transferring.

Also, use the Transferology website to see which of your Front Range credits will transfer to CU Boulder.

Finally, to start your transfer application process, visit CU Boulder's Transfer Admissions website where you will find comprehensive information on the application requirements, deadlines, etc. Make sure to submit all required documents on time to ensure your application is considered.

Remember, transferring can be a complex process, so start as early as possible and take advantage of all available resources.
