Transfer agreements with Borough of Manhattan Community College

Are there any specific transfer agreements between Borough of Manhattan Community College and other four-year institutions? I'm attending BMCC and want to know how these might affect my transfer plans.

Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC) does have established articulation agreements with several four-year institutions. Articulation agreements are formal agreements between two colleges or universities specifying what courses will transfer from the two-year school to the four-year school.

Specifically, BMCC has Direct-Admit Transfer Partnerships which enable students to apply to their partner schools as continuing, rather than transfer, students. These partners include New York University (NYU), Pace University, and St. John's University – where students can earn their four-year degree in partnership with BMCC.

In addition, BMCC is a part of the CUNY system and many students transfer to 4-year CUNY colleges like CUNY Baruch, CUNY City College, and CUNY Hunter College.

Keep in mind, these schools may have minimum GPA requirements, specific course prerequisites, or other requirements that need to be met in order to be considered for their programs through these articulation agreements. Make sure to read the fine print and speak with your academic advisor to ensure you're on the right track for meeting your chosen school's prerequisites and application requirements.

Additionally, even if a specific four-year school you're interested in doesn't have an established articulation agreement with BMCC, that doesn't necessarily mean you won't be able to transfer credits. Many schools will evaluate transfer credits on a case-by-case basis. Always check with the four-year school to which you wish to transfer to understand their specific process for transferring credits.
