How do transfer credits work at CUNY College of Staten Island?

I'm thinking about transferring to the College of Staten Island and I'm curious about how they handle transfer credits. Does anyone know if they have a limit on how many credits I can transfer?

Every university has its policy on transferring credits, and this includes CUNY College of Staten Island. They evaluate credits on a case-by-case basis, examining the course content and level in comparison to the courses they offer. As a general rule, they accept credits earned with a grade of C or above from regionally accredited colleges or universities.

As for a limit, the school maintains a maximum of 90 credits that can be transferred from a four-year college, and up to 30 credits from a two-year college. Bear in mind, however, that not all credits may apply to your desired program of study at the College of Staten Island.

Additionally, remember to submit your official transcripts from all previously attended colleges for a comprehensive credit evaluation. A credit evaluation will occur once you're accepted and can take a few weeks to complete, so it's beneficial to apply sooner rather than later.

It's always a good idea to speak directly to an admissions counselor at the College of Staten Island to discuss your specific situation and get the most accurate information. It might also be helpful to review your course syllabi or class descriptions from your previous schools, as these could be requested during the evaluation process.
