FAFSA School Number Limit

I'm feeling a bit stressed because I want to apply for financial aid at more than 10 schools, but FAFSA only allows for 10. How do I submit my info to the additional schools beyond the limit? If you've done this, I could really use some advice! Thanks!

No worries! You can definitely submit your FAFSA information to more than 10 schools. First, you'll need to submit your FAFSA with the initial 10 schools you have listed. Once your FAFSA application has been processed (which usually takes about 3 days), you can log back in to your account and follow these steps:

1. Remove the federal school codes for some or all of the 10 schools that you initially listed. Make sure you keep a record of the school codes and any other relevant info before removing them.

2. Add the federal school codes for the additional schools you want to send your FAFSA information to.

3. Save your changes and re-submit your FAFSA with the updated list of schools. The new schools will receive your information, and it won't affect the schools you previously submitted to since they've already received the info.

It's essential to wait until your FAFSA has been processed before making any changes because editing your list before processing is complete could cause errors or processing delays. Keep in mind that some schools have different financial aid deadlines, so be sure to send your FAFSA information to all schools as early as possible to maximize your chances of receiving financial aid. Good luck!
