Understanding Emmanuel College's Transfer Credit Policies

I'm looking into transferring to Emmanuel College and wondering how transfer credits work there. Does anyone know how they evaluate previous coursework and what the transfer credit policies are?

Emmanuel College's transfer credit policies are quite accommodating. If you have an Associate's Degree from a regionally accredited college or university, you may be eligible for their block transfer policy. This policy allows for the transfer of a block of credits in lieu of the liberal arts and sciences requirements. However, all of your courses must have been completed with a grade of C or higher to transfer.

If you don't have an associate degree but have taken some college-level courses, Emmanuel will typically still accept those credits (again, as long as you earned a C or higher), and there is no statute of limitations on accepting these credits.

Do note, however, that there might be some restrictions depending on the type of course. Emmanuel typically awards transfer credit for college-level courses taken at regionally accredited institutions that align closely with Emmanuel's curriculum.

Keep in mind that transferring doesn't only mean you get credit for your classes. Transfer students also need to satisfy Emmanuel's 128-credit graduation requirement, which typically means four years of full-time study.

While this provides an overview, detailed and personal questions pertaining to your individual circumstances would best be addressed by Emmanuel college’s registrar or transfer admission counselor, as their assessments would be based on an official evaluation of your transcript.

Finally, you'd fill out Emmanuel's Transfer Credit Approval Form before enrolling to get official confirmation of which of your credits will transfer. This form should be included in your application package.
