Hispanic Scholarship Fund Community College Transfer Program

I'm curious about the Hispanic Scholarship Fund's community college transfer program. Does anyone know what the eligibility requirements are? Also, any experiences from students who have used this program to transfer to a four-year university?

The Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF) indeed offers support to students looking to transfer from a community college to a four-year college or university. However, the HSF Community College Transfer Scholarship itself is currently inactive. Even so, as an HSF Scholar, one still gains access to a broad array of resources and supports that are particularly helpful during a transfer process.

To become an HSF Scholar, the general eligibility criteria include being of Hispanic heritage, having a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, planning to enroll full-time in a degree-seeking program at a U.S. accredited, not-for-profit, four-year university, and completing the FAFSA or state-based financial aid forms (if applicable). A student must also be a U.S. citizen, permanent legal resident, or be granted DACA.

While we don't know when and if the Community College Transfer Scholarship will return, becoming an HSF Scholar for the program benefits still holds significant value. As an HSF Scholar, you'd receive peer mentorship, career services, leadership development, wellness training, and tools for financial literacy. These support elements can undeniably ease the transition from a two-year to a four-year institution by providing academic, career, and financial guidance.

That being said, past participants often commend HSF for these comprehensive resources and the supportive community they foster. Many have found the guidance they received invaluable in clarifying their academic and career paths, leading to successful transitions to four-year colleges and universities.
