Understanding transfer scholarships at Hendrix College

I'm looking into transferring to Hendrix College and I'm curious about the scholarships available specifically for transfer students. Does anyone know what kind of financial aid I might be eligible for?

Hendrix College offers multiple scholarships and grants to help offset the cost of attendance specifically for transfer students.

The Hendrix College Transfer Academic Scholarship ranges from $6,000 to $12,000 per year and is automatically awarded based on academic achievement at the previous institution. This scholarship is renewable annually as long as you maintain satisfactory academic progress.

In addition, the Hendrix United Methodist Scholar/Dependent Grant awards $5,000 per year to transfer students who are members of the United Methodist Church or dependents of United Methodist clergy.

Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) members are eligible to receive the PTK Scholarship which awards $1,000 per year. You must submit proof of your PTK membership to be considered for this scholarship.

For out-of-state transfer students, the Arkansas Advantage Grant awards a $4,000 renewable grant. You need to establish Arkansas residency by the start of your second year to keep receiving it.

Lastly, if you demonstrate significant financial need, you’ll also automatically be considered for the Hendrix Need-Based Grant when you complete the FAFSA. The amount varies based on need.

Keep in mind, these scholarships can be stacked, but the total cannot exceed the cost of tuition.

Also, don't forget to utilize Hendrix College's Net Price Calculator to estimate what other need-based financial aid you might be eligible for. This can be a good tool to provide a projected overall financial aid package.

Remember that these scholarships and grants are subject to change, so it's always a good idea to check with the college's financial aid office for the most up-to-date information. Good luck with your transfer process!
