What's the best way to send SAT scores for a college transfer?

I'm in the process of transferring to another college and need to send my SAT scores. Does anyone know the most efficient way to do this? Do I need to contact the College Board directly for transfers?

To send your SAT scores to colleges for a transfer application, you would essentially follow the same process as when you first applied for freshman admission.

College Board is the organization that handles SAT scores. You need to log in to your College Board account, go to the "My SAT" section and then to "Send Scores". There you'll have the option to select which scores you want to send and to which colleges. Schools accept scores directly from the College Board to ensure their authenticity.

One tip is to check your prospective college's policy on SAT scores for transfer students. Some colleges may not require them for transfer applicants, especially if you have a certain number of college credits. However, if the college does require them, follow the process just mentioned.

Remember that there is a fee for each score report sent, but fee waivers are available for students who qualify. It usually takes around 1-2 weeks for the scores to reach the colleges, so make sure to request the scores timely considering your application deadlines.

Please note that starting from Spring 2024, the SAT has moved to a fully digital format, if you have taken the test after that date, the scores from the digital test can also be sent in the same way.
