Fisher College transfer GPA expectations?

Does anyone know the typical GPA Fisher College looks for in transfer students? I'm trying to gauge where I stand and if I should retake any courses before applying. Any insights from current students would be awesome!

While Fisher College doesn't officially publish a minimum GPA requirement for transfer students, it's generally a good idea to aim for a GPA of at least 3.0 to be competitive. Colleges usually require a higher GPA from transfer students than freshman applicants, since they’re evaluating you on college-level coursework. This target can vary based on the major/program you're applying for - people applying to more selective programs might need higher GPAs.

If you're trying to decide whether to retake a course, consider how it pertains to your intended major. If it's a core course for your major and you didn't do well in it, it might be worth retaking it. That being said, you'll also need to factor in how retaking a course would affect your other responsibilities, such as current coursework, work, or extracurriculars.

Keep in mind that while GPA is important, it's not the only thing that Fisher College will consider. They'll also look at your college-level coursework, the rigor of your curriculum, any improvement in grades, your extracurricular activities, and recommendation letters. Make sure your application showcases your strengths beyond your GPA. Good luck with your transfer application!
