Intermediate algebra transfer credit at Tarrant County College?

Does anyone know if intermediate algebra credits from Tarrant County College would transfer to other colleges? I'm trying to sort out my credits before applying.

Transferability of course credits often varies based on the institutions involved. Generally, intermediate algebra or any other course from an accredited institution like Tarrant County College should transfer to most universities. However, each university has its own specific requirements and may evaluate transfer credits on a case-by-case basis. Some universities might accept the course as an equivalent to their math requirements, while others might accept it as an elective credit.

Typically, universities look at factors such as the grade you received in the course (many require a C or better for transfer), comparability of the course content, and the accreditation status of Tarrant County College. Consequently, to determine the transferability of your intermediate algebra course, I recommend that you directly reach out to the admissions or academic advising office at the institution you're planning to apply to. They'd be able to provide the most accurate guidance on how your course credits would potentially transfer.

Also, keep in mind that Tarrant County College likely has transfer agreements, known as articulation agreements, with several universities in Texas and possibly nationally. These agreements can be really helpful in clarifying what credits will transfer, so it's worth looking into those or asking a Tarrant County College academic advisor about them.
