How does Manhattanville University evaluate transfer credits?

I'm looking at transferring to Manhattanville University and want to know how transfer credits are evaluated. Will my previous courses apply towards my degree there, and are there any restrictions I should be aware of?

When it comes to transferring credits, Manhattanville University has a straightforward policy. The college will consider credits from regionally accredited institutions (or equivalent for international credits), and these credits must have a grade of C- or better.

The courses you've taken in the past need to be comparable in content and level to the ones offered at Manhattanville. So, liberal arts courses will generally transfer more readily since they correspond to classes in the college's core curriculum. However, specific courses required for your major may need careful evaluation by the department in question.

The maximum number of credits transferable are 90 credits. Also, keep in mind that at least half of your major and minor coursework must be completed at Manhattanville University.

In terms of process, once your transcript (and any other necessary documents) are sent to the college, the Registrar’s Office makes an initial evaluation. Then the specific departments will evaluate the credits applicable to your intended major. The outputs of these evaluations are then merged into a single report which tells you how your credits apply to degree requirements at Manhattanville.

It's always a good idea to discuss with an academic advisor or admissions officer to clarify any unique circumstances you might have.
