Confused about Marist College transfer housing options?

I'm considering transferring to Marist College and was wondering about the housing situation for transfer students. Is it possible to get on-campus housing, or do most transfer students live off-campus? Any advice on the process would be appreciated!

Absolutely, you can get housing as a transfer student at Marist College. Marist guarantees housing for all students in their undergraduate program – including transfer students – for their freshmen and sophomore years. You don't have to worry about finding off-campus housing unless you prefer to do so.

Once you're accepted into Marist, you'll go through a housing selection process to choose a preference for your living arrangement. It should be noted, however, that housing is awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis. As a transfer student, you may end up in overflow housing initially, and then be reassigned as spots open up.

Remember to submit your housing deposit as soon as possible when it becomes available in order to improve your chances of getting the housing of your choice. Make sure you check the school's website or get in contact with the Office of Housing and Residential Life for the most current and specific information relating to housing.

In terms of off-campus living, while Marist does provide housing for all four years, some students elect to live off-campus in the local area. Before making the decision to live off-campus, make sure to consider factors such as rent, utilities, transportation, and meal prep, as these could be covered in on-campus housing.
