NHS vs. NSHSS: Which is Better?

Hey everyone! I'm having trouble deciding between joining NHS (National Honor Society) or NSHSS (National Society of High School Scholars). Which one is more prestigious and beneficial in terms of college applications and opportunities?

Both NHS (National Honor Society) and NSHSS (National Society of High School Scholars) have their benefits, but NHS is considered more prestigious and recognized by colleges due to its long-standing reputation and focus on character, leadership, scholarship, and service.

NHS requires applicants to meet specific GPA and community service requirements, and involvement usually includes taking part in group projects, volunteering, and leadership opportunities. Membership in NHS can demonstrate to colleges your dedication to academics and commitment to making a positive impact on your community.

On the other hand, NSHSS offers a more extensive network of resources and support, such as scholarships, internships, conferences, and networking events. However, it's a general belief that NSHSS lacks the recognition and credibility that NHS has since it's less selective, requiring only a minimum GPA or a standardized test score.
