Transferring to Molloy College: What's the process?

I'm planning on transferring to Molloy College but I'm a little confused about how the Office of Transfer Admissions works. Has anyone been through this process who can share what it's like? Any insight on requirements would be awesome!

The process for transferring to Molloy College involves submitting your application along with all necessary materials to the Office of Transfer Admissions. You can apply for admission during any semester - fall, spring, or summer - and applications are accepted on a rolling basis.

The College mainly uses the Common Application for transfers, but Molloy also has its application form. In addition to your application form, you must pay a non-refundable application fee of $45.

You would need to submit your official college transcripts from all institutions you have attended. If you have finished less than 24 college credit hours, you must also submit your high school transcript and SAT or ACT scores. For transfer students who have completed 24 or more college credit hours, SAT and ACT scores may not be necessary - however, you should double-check this with the Office of Transfer Admissions.

Molloy College generally accepts transfer students with a cumulative GPA of 2.0. If your GPA is lower, the Office of Transfer Admissions might still consider your application on an individual basis, depending on your other qualifications.

If you are applying to a specific program, you might be required to submit additional materials and have a higher GPA.

After your application is complete and reviewed, the next step is typically a personal interview. However, this is subject to the decision of the Admissions Committee.

Also, remember to apply for financial aid by filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) if you qualify.

In terms of credit transfer, a maximum of 98 credits from a four-year institution will be considered. There isn't an explicit mention of minimum grade requirements for transferred credits, but it's generally best practice to maintain a grade of C or better in your courses.

Lastly, the Office of Transfer Admissions can assist with any questions during the process. They can provide a preliminary review of your transcripts and guide you through application specifics. Their phone number and email address can be found on the Molloy College website under the Contact Admissions page.

Best of luck with your application!
