Minimum GPA for Transfer to Morehouse College

I'm in the process of applying to transfer to Morehouse College and was wondering what GPA is considered competitive or even the minimum needed. Just trying to assess my chances and see if I need to improve before applying.

As of the 2024-2025 academic year, Morehouse College prefers transfer applicants to have a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale. However, keep in mind that the admissions process is competitive, and a higher GPA would improve your chances. The average GPA of admitted first-year students is typically around 3.5 - while the number may be slightly different for transfer students, who are taking more rigorous, college-level coursework, this data point should give you a good general target.

Of course, while GPA is an important factor, Morehouse also looks at other aspects of your application, such as your personal statement and letters of recommendation. If your GPA is below the average, strengths in these other areas of your application might help compensate.
