How many college credits do you need to transfer to UC schools?

I'm planning on transferring from community college to a UC school and I'm trying to figure out how many credits I need to do this. Does anyone know what the requirement generally is for UC transfers?

In the University of California (UC) system, students typically need to earn at least 60 transferable semester units (or about 90 quarter units) from a community college to transfer as an upper-division student. However, depending on which UC you're interested in, there might be some additional credit or course requirements specific to that institution.

Remember to check the Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) program which assists California community college students to transfer to specific UC campuses if they meet certain criteria including a specified number of completed units.

It's also important to be mindful of what specific courses you should be taking during your time at your community college to be eligible for transfer. The UC system's website has a tool called ASSIST that can help you see what classes at your current school are transferable to a UC campus.

Remember that it's always a good idea to work with your current school's advising office or the transfer admissions office at the UC school(s) you're interested in to ensure you're on the right track. They can provide you with the most accurate and current information regarding transfer requirements and credits.
