Best Pennsylvania community colleges for engineering transfers?

I'm interested in transferring to an engineering program after community college. Which Pennsylvania community colleges have the best track record or agreements for transferring into strong engineering programs?

There are quite a few community colleges in Pennsylvania with great track records of transferring students into strong engineering programs.

1. Bucks County Community College: This school has articulated agreements with a significant number of Pennsylvania four-year colleges and universities for a seamless transfer. Furthermore, the college's Associate of Science in Engineering offers five distinct tracks for students to choose from, preparing you for transfer into your specific field of interest within engineering.

2. Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC): HACC boasts a solid engineering program where students gain a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental principles of engineering, setting you up for a successful transfer to a four-year engineering program.

3. Montgomery County Community College (MCCC): MCCC offers an AS in Engineering which prepares students for transfer to four-year engineering programs. The curriculum outlines the first two years of study for a variety of engineering programs including electrical, mechanical, and civil engineering, to name a few. MCCC also has transfer agreements with a number of universities such as Temple University and Drexel University.

4. Northampton Community College: Northampton offers an advanced technology center and offers quality engineering tech programs. They have also signed the "PA Transfer and Articulation Agreement" which means that Northampton promises to make the transfer to four-year institutions as seamless as possible by aligning their curriculum with the requirements of these other institutions.

5. Westmoreland County Community College: Westmoreland has an engineering technology program that prepares students for work or transfer to four-year colleges.

Keep in mind, the best community college for you will not only be determined by their transfer record, but also by the specific engineering programs they offer, location, and which in-state four-year universities you are targeting for your transfer. It's always a good idea to reach out to the admissions offices or the engineering departments directly at these schools to find out more about their transfer process.
