Seattle Central Community College Transfer: Best Universities?

I'm considering transferring from Seattle Central Community College to a 4-year university after earning my associate degree. Does anyone have recommendations for universities in Washington that have good transfer agreements or are known for accepting community college students?

If you are looking to stay close to home, the University of Washington is an excellent choice. UW has a robust transfer program and has articulation agreements with Seattle Central and many other Washington community colleges. They provide a Transition School and Early Entrance program which eases the process for transfer students looking to enroll in UW's various bachelor's degree programs.

Another school to consider would be Western Washington University in Bellingham. They have a strong commitment to transfer students and have an entire section of their website dedicated to assisting transfer students through the process.

One more option is Washington State University. WSU has a Direct Transfer Agreement with many community colleges in Washington, including Seattle Central, meaning that your associate degree could satisfy many of the WSU core requirements, regardless of your major.

Regardless of the university you ultimately choose, remember to meet with your academic advisor regularly to ensure that you are on track for transferring to your university of choice. Keep an eye on deadlines and prerequisites for the specific programs that you may be interested in. It's also important to maintain a high GPA, as this will give you the best chance of acceptance at your desired school.
