Which top colleges are known to be transfer-friendly?

I'm looking into transferring and curious about colleges that have a reputation for being transfer-friendly. Does anyone know which schools are generally accommodating to transfer students?

Transferring to another college can be quite a process, so it's great that you're considering schools known for welcoming transfer students.

Universities like the University of Southern California (USC), Cornell University (Cornell), and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC Chapel Hill) are known for being particularly transfer-friendly. USC accepts a substantial number of transfers every year and even offers resources like the Trojan Transfer Plan (TTP), a path for students who start at a different college to ensure a seamless transfer to USC.

Cornell is another school with a strong track record of admitting transfer students, especially into certain colleges within the university like the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, and the College of Human Ecology.

UNC Chapel Hill also typically admits a high number of transfer students each year and provides resources to aid these students in their transition to the university.

Keep in mind that the term "transfer-friendly" can mean a variety of things: a high acceptance rate for transfer students, strong advising and resources for transfers, or a large community of transfer students. You'll want to research each school in depth to understand what being transfer-friendly means in their specific context. Good luck with your transfer process!
