Keep in mind that the prompts sometimes change year to year, so while you can use the current prompts for inspiration, you should wait until August 1st before your senior year to start actually writing, as you don't want your hard work to go to waste if the prompts change. August 1st is when the prompts for the coming application cycle will officially be released.
