Division 2 football schools in Texas?

Howdy! I'm a junior in high school and have been playing football for a few years now. Do any of y'all know which colleges in Texas offer Division 2 football? I want to stay in-state and find a great balance between academics and athletics. Thanks for any info you can provide!

Hello! It's great that you're interested in finding a balance between academics and athletics. In Texas, there are several colleges that participate in Division 2 football. Here's a list of some schools to get you started:

1. Angelo State University (San Angelo, TX)

2. Texas A&M University-Commerce (Commerce, TX)

3. Midwestern State University (Wichita Falls, TX)

4. West Texas A&M University (Canyon, TX)

5. Tarleton State University (Stephenville, TX)

6. University of Texas Permian Basin (Odessa, TX)

Make sure to research each school's academic programs, campus life, and location before making any decisions. Visiting the campuses and talking to current students or faculty can also provide valuable insights.

Keep in mind that just because a school has a Division 2 football program doesn't necessarily mean it'll be the perfect fit for you academically or socially. Take your time to explore your options, and best of luck in your college search!
