Eligibility for taking the SAT?

Hey everyone! I was wondering who can take the SAT? Is there any eligibility criteria, or can any high school student give it a shot?

Hello! Any high school student can take the SAT, as there are no specific eligibility criteria based on grades or other factors. Students from various educational backgrounds (public, private, homeschool, or international) are all welcome to register and take the test. Generally, students take the SAT during their junior and senior years, but if someone wants to take it earlier, they can do so.

It's important to prepare well for the test and choose a testing date that works best for you. You can find available test dates and registration deadlines on the College Board website. Don't forget to also consider your test preparation timeline when selecting a date.

While the SAT is open to all high school students, keep in mind that you might need to request necessary accommodations if you have a documented disability. You can find more information about applying for accommodations on the College Board website, as well.

Best of luck with your SAT preparation and testing!
