Summer Programs at KU for High School Students

I'm looking into summer programs at the University of Kansas for high school students. Can anyone recommend some good ones they've participated in or heard about? Thanks in advance!

I'd be happy to suggest a couple of summer programs at the University of Kansas (KU) for high school students that you might find interesting:

1. Kansas Debate Institute (KDI): The KDI is a fantastic opportunity for students who are passionate about debate or even those who are new to the activity. The program offers an intensive learning environment led by experienced debaters and debate coaches, which could be a great way to improve your skills and build connections in the debate community.

2. Summer Engineering Academy (SEA): Designed for high school students with a strong interest in engineering, the SEA provides hands-on experience with various engineering projects and activities. Participants will get a chance to interact with KU engineering faculty and students, learn about different engineering disciplines, and explore potential career paths in the field.

3. KU Pre-College Art and Design Workshop: This summer program is tailored for students who want to pursue art and design in college. It offers workshops in areas such as drawing, painting, graphic design, sculpture, and more. Participants will receive instruction and mentorship from KU art and design faculty, and get a chance to create a portfolio of their work during the program.

No matter which program you choose, participating in a summer program at KU can help you not only discover or refine your academic interests, but also give you a taste of the college experience and help you make connections with students who share your passions. Remember to consider application deadlines, program dates, and any costs associated with the programs (none of these are free programs) as you make your decision. Good luck, and I hope you find a KU summer program that's the perfect fit for you!
