Hello, everyone! I'm in the process of applying to the UCs, and I'm unsure whether or not they require a mid-year report from my high school counselor. I know some colleges request updated transcripts and counselor reports, but what's the policy for the UC schools? Any help would be much appreciated!
Hello! The University of California (UC) system typically does not require a mid-year report for applicants during the regular admissions process. Instead, they primarily focus on the transcripts and other materials submitted with your initial application. They'll only request additional information, such as a mid-year update, if they think it's necessary to make a decision.
However, once you have been admitted and if you decide to attend a UC school, you'll need to submit your final transcript to confirm your graduation and final grades. Be sure to keep your grades consistent throughout your senior year, as the UCs may rescind your admission offer if there is a significant drop in your academic performance.
Good luck with your UC applications!
