North Face Backpack: Borealis vs. Jester for College?

So, I'm gearing up for college, and I need to choose between the North Face Borealis and Jester backpacks. I know it's a bit off-topic, but has anyone used either backpack during college and can give a recommendation? What are the pros and cons? Just want to make sure I get something that can handle all my stuff and last for my college years!

You’re smart to be thinking about these practical considerations of your college experience! I’d be happy to break down some pros and cons of these two different options:

Borealis Pros:

- Larger capacity (28 liters vs. Jester's 26 liters), which is helpful for fitting all your textbooks, laptop, and other items.

- A bit more comfortable due to the padded back panel and updated shoulder straps.

- Comes with a removable waist belt for added support when carrying heavier loads.

Borealis Cons:

- Slightly more expensive than the Jester.

- Can be a bit bulkier due to the larger size and extra features.

Jester Pros:

- More affordable option.

- Slightly smaller and lighter than the Borealis, so it might be less cumbersome for daily use.

- Still has enough room for your essentials, with dedicated compartments for a laptop, tablet, and books.

Jester Cons:

- Smaller capacity (26 liters vs. Borealis's 28 liters) might be an issue if you have to carry a lot of stuff at once.

- Lacks some of the extra features and padding found on the Borealis, potentially making it slightly less comfortable for all-day wear.

Ultimately, the choice depends on your needs and preferences. If you tend to carry a lot of items and want a more comfortable and durable backpack, the Borealis might be better for you. On the other hand, if you're looking for a lighter, more affordable option that still covers the basics, the Jester could be a solid choice. Both backpacks have a solid reputation for quality and durability, so you can't go wrong either way!
