SAT testing centers closing - what to do?

Hey, my scheduled SAT testing center just closed due to unforeseen circumstances. What are my options now? Has anyone experienced this situation before? How can I reschedule or find a new testing center? Any advice would be appreciated!

I'm sorry to hear that your testing center closed. Luckily, there are options to help you out in this situation. First, contact College Board's customer service as soon as possible. They're the organization that administers the SAT and they'll be able to provide you with the most accurate and up-to-date information on available testing centers and rescheduling options. You can reach them by phone at 866-756-7346 or via their website's contact page.

When you're in touch with College Board, ask if there are any alternative testing centers nearby that still have availability for the same test date. They might be able to help you find a new testing site relatively close to your original location. If that's not possible, they'll likely give you the option to reschedule your test to a later date without incurring any additional fees.

Keep in mind that test center availability can change based on factors like demand, local restrictions, and other circumstances, so it's essential to be flexible and open to different dates or locations. If you end up having to reschedule your SAT, make sure to update your college application timelines to accommodate the new date. Remember, many colleges accept SAT scores from multiple test dates, so even if you have to reschedule, you still have a chance to submit your scores on time.

Lastly, stay proactive in monitoring the status of your new testing location, as info can sometimes change quickly. Good luck with your rescheduling process, and I hope the test goes well when you're able to take it!
