Colleges that only accept 5's on AP tests?

Hi! I've taken a few AP exams, and I'm wondering if there are any colleges that are super selective and only consider AP scores of 5 for credit? Any info would be appreciated!

Hi there! While it's true that some colleges have higher standards for accepting AP scores and granting credit, it's quite rare to find schools that strictly require a 5 on AP exams for credit. Most colleges have a range of acceptance for AP scores depending on the subject, with some accepting scores of 3 or higher, and others only accepting 4's and 5's.

Additionally, it's important to remember that AP scores generally don't play a significant role in the admissions process. The courses you take and the grades you receive in them are what matter, as they showcase your academic rigor. Therefore, while getting a high score on an AP exam may help you earn college credit, it won't necessarily impact your chances of getting accepted.

That being said, you can usually find a college's AP credit policy on their website or by reaching out to the admissions office. Policies often vary from one school to another, and even from one department to another within a single institution, so it's always a good idea to research the specific schools you're interested in.
