UC transfer decisions

Hello, I am currently in the process of transferring to a UC and need some advice. How and when will I get my UC transfer decision? Is there a specific date that they release decisions or is it more of a rolling basis? Any input is appreciated!

Hello! UC transfer decisions are typically released in the spring, with specific notification dates varying slightly between different campuses. These dates may change from year to year, so it's essential to stay updated by checking each campus's admissions website for the most accurate information. Generally speaking, here's an overview of when you can expect decisions:

- UC Berkeley: Late April

- UC Davis: Mid-April

- UC Irvine: Mid-April

- UCLA: Mid-April

- UC Merced: Late April to early May

- UC Riverside: Late April to early May

- UC San Diego: Mid-April

- UC Santa Barbara: Mid-April

- UC Santa Cruz: Late April to early May

Note that these are approximate timeframes and may be subject to change. Decisions are generally not released on a rolling basis; instead, they tend to be released within a defined timeframe for each campus. Once a decision has been made, you will be notified through the email address associated with your application, or you can check your applicant portal for each UC campus to which you've applied.

After receiving your decisions, it's essential to follow the enrollment instructions provided by the individual campuses, should you be accepted. This often includes submitting a Statement of Intent to Register (SIR) and satisfying other campus-specific requirements, typically by a specified deadline in May. Keep in mind that each campus may have unique next steps, so be sure to review all the information provided carefully.

Good luck with your transfer process, and I hope you receive favorable decisions from the UC campuses you've applied to!
