UCI Nursing Transfer Acceptance Rate

Hey guys, I'm considering transferring to UCI's nursing program. Does anyone know the acceptance rate for nursing transfer students? I'm trying to figure out if I have a good shot at getting in. Thanks!

Hey there! While the acceptance rate for transfer students to UCI's nursing program varies slightly each year depending on the applicant pool, it's a competitive process. As of the most recent data available, the overall acceptance rate for UCI's Sue & Bill Gross School of Nursing is well under 10%. Transfer acceptance rates for particular majors usually aren't publicly available, but they tend to be slightly lower than the standard rates.

To increase your chances of being accepted as a transfer student, make sure you have a strong GPA, particularly in prerequisite courses, and demonstrate your passion for nursing through extracurricular activities and/or relevant work experiences. Additionally, having a well-written personal statement that conveys your interest in the field and what led you to pursue it can be highly beneficial.

Ultimately, it's hard to determine whether you have a good shot at getting in without knowing more about your application and the competitiveness of the applicant pool in your given year. So, just focus on presenting the best application possible, and keep researching and applying to other programs as well to increase your chances of getting into a nursing program that suits you.

Good luck with your transfer application!
