Why isn't my SAT score out yet?

Hey everyone, so I took the SAT recently, and I've been stalking the College Board site since then, but my score's still not posted. Is this normal? How long does it usually take for scores to be released? Also, any updates or tips for handling this stress would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hey there! I understand the anticipation of waiting for your SAT score. Typically, SAT scores are released about 10-11 days after the test date for multiple-choice scores. That said, the exact date may vary due to multiple factors, such as the test date, region, or any potential delays in the scoring process.

Since you've been checking the College Board site, I assume you're already aware of the "My SAT" section where the scores will be available. I suggest double-checking the expected score release date for your specific test date as listed on their website to ensure you're looking at the right timeline. If the expected score release date has already passed and you still don't have your score, it could be due to administrative issues or a delay in processing. In that case, I recommend contacting the College Board to inquire about your score status.

As for handling the stress, I know it's easier said than done, but try not to worry too much. You've done your part by taking the test, and now it's just a matter of time before you receive your score. In the meantime, focus on other aspects of your life, such as your schoolwork, extracurriculars, or hobbies. Distracting yourself with other meaningful activities can help reduce your anxiety and make the wait feel a little less daunting. Best of luck, and I hope you receive your score soon!
