Are online college fairs worth attending?

Hello! I recently heard about online college fairs and I'm wondering if they're worth attending. Do they provide valuable information and opportunities to connect with admissions officers? What has been your experience with them? Thanks for your help!

Hi there! I can share my experience with online college fairs from when my child was going through the college application process. We found them to be quite helpful, especially during the pandemic when in-person events were not an option. The online format allowed us to explore multiple colleges and universities without having to travel, which saved both time and money. Additionally, it was convenient since we could join the sessions from the comfort of our home. Many of the fairs we attended provided valuable information, such as details about majors, campus life, and financial aid. They often included sessions with admissions officers, which gave us the opportunity to ask questions and gather insights that might not be readily available on the college websites. My child even had the chance to chat with current students from some of the schools, which provided a more personal perspective on what it's like to attend those institutions. Overall, I'd say it's worth attending some online college fairs to gather more information and make connections. Best of luck!
