Any cool scholarship competitions for high school students?

Hey guys, I'm a junior and I'm trying to find some unique or interesting scholarship competitions to apply to. Anyone know any cool ones that are intended for high school students?

Hey there! It's awesome that you're looking for scholarship competitions to get a head start on financing your college education. There are certainly many unique and interesting competitions out there for high school students. Here are a few that caught my eye:

1. Doodle for Google: If you're into art, this could be a great opportunity for you. Participants are asked to create a Google Doodle based on a particular theme each year. Winners can receive scholarship money, a trip to Google headquarters, and their artwork displayed on the Google homepage for a day.

2. The Regeneron Science Talent Search: For students passionate about STEM fields, this competition offers a chance to showcase their research projects. Participants submit original research projects and can receive notable recognition as well as significant scholarships.

3. Voice of Democracy: This is an annual audio-essay contest organized by the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Students are asked to write and record an essay based on a theme provided by the VFW. Winners can receive scholarships and a trip to Washington, D.C.

4. The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards: This one's for the creative minds out there. Students can submit works in various categories, such as writing, poetry, photography, and painting. Award recipients can receive scholarships, and winning works are exhibited at various locations across the nation.

5. The National High School Mock Trial Championship: For those interested in law and policy, this could be an exciting opportunity. Students compete in teams of 6 to 8 and argue mock cases in front of real judges. Winning teams receive scholarships and other prizes.

Remember to keep an eye out for deadlines and specific eligibility criteria for each competition. Good luck, and I hope you find something that piques your interest!
