UNC Chapel Hill prompts - where do I find them?

Hi all! I'm getting ready to apply to UNC Chapel Hill and wanted to start working on my essays. Does anyone know where I can find the essay prompts for this year? I've checked their website, but I haven't had any luck so far.

Hello! Don't worry, I can help point you in the right direction! Essay prompts for UNC Chapel Hill, like many other colleges, can be found within the application itself. UNC Chapel Hill uses the Common Application, so you'll need to create an account on the Common App website (if you haven't done so already). The Common App updates its essay prompts annually, with new prompts usually available on August 1st.

Here's what you can do to find the prompts for UNC Chapel Hill:

1. Create an account or log in to your existing Common App account.

2. In the Dashboard, click on the "College Search" tab and search for "University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill." Add the school to your list.

3. Go to the "My Colleges" tab and click on the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

4. Navigate to the "Writing Supplement" section. The essay prompts specific to UNC Chapel Hill should be listed there.

If you're wondering how to tackle the current set of UNC prompts, consider checking out CollegeVine's blog post breaking down each question, which is updated annually: https://blog.collegevine.com/how-to-write-the-unc-chapel-hill-essays. Also keep in mind that CollegeVine offers both a free peer essay review tool and paid reviews by expert college admissions advisors through their marketplace - either of these resources can be invaluable in helping you polish your essays.

Good luck!
