What are the SAT requirements for Texas A&M (Aggie)?

Hey y'all! I'm really interested in Texas A&M and want to know the Aggie SAT requirements. Does anyone know what the typical score range is for applicants, or if they have any specific score expectations? Thank you in advance!

Hey there! Texas A&M does not have strict SAT requirements, but it's helpful to know the average score range of admitted students to have an idea of what the university is generally looking for. For the Fall 2021 freshman class, the middle 50% SAT score range for admitted students was between 1170 and 1380. Keep in mind that this range represents the middle 50%, so 25% of admitted students scored below this range and 25% scored above it.

It's also important to remember that Texas A&M, like many universities, practices a holistic review process in admissions, which means they consider factors beyond test scores, such as GPA, class rank, essays, extracurriculars, and letters of recommendation. Although having a competitive SAT score is always beneficial, it's just one component of your overall application.

If your SAT score falls within or above the middle 50% range, that's a good indicator that you have a competitive score for Texas A&M. However, if your score is lower, don't lose hope—focus on other aspects of your application that can help strengthen your candidacy. Good luck with your application!
