Minimum ACT score for Penn State University?

Hi guys, I'm planning to apply to Penn State University and I was just wondering if there is a minimum ACT score required for admission. Also, what's a competitive ACT score to have a better chance of getting accepted? Thanks a lot!

Penn State University does not have a strict minimum ACT score requirement for admission. That being said, having a competitive ACT score will increase your chances of being accepted. The middle 50% of enrolled students at Penn State University Park have ACT scores ranging from 29 to 33. This means that 25% of students scored below 29 and 25% scored above 33.

To be a more competitive applicant, it's a good idea to aim for an ACT score within or above this range. Scoring above the middle 50% range (so above a 33) could make you stand out among applicants, but keep in mind that your score is just one part of the holistic admissions process. Admissions officers also consider your high school GPA, the rigor of your coursework, extracurricular activities, essays, and other factors.

In summary, while there's no specific minimum ACT score, aiming for at least the 29-33 range or higher will strengthen your application. However, don't forget to focus on other aspects of your application, as admissions officers look at a variety of factors to determine whether a student is a good fit for the university. Good luck with your application!
